We love our little retail space - Harvest Storeroom. Over the coming weeks we will be working towards a big shop makeover and will be creating a whole lot of new product to fill it with. The pic to the left is an ode to our current Storeroom. Thankyou oh humble little shop to introducing us to the wonderful world of bricks and mortar retail. You have taught us much and we look forward to the next instalment!

Treat a special someone to some handprinted goodness by gifting a voucher. Please note we can also tailor vouchers to any amount you would like and the recipient is able to top up the amount if indeed they would like to spend a little more. Sounds like an easy gift option huh? Who wouldn't be happy with that?

Our 12 Days of Harvest project has been so much fun and we can't believe what busy elves we have been as a result. More details of the Fiesta here. For anyone looking to drop by Harvest Storeroom before xmas our opening hours will be: Fri 14 Dec 12pm - 4.30pm CLOSED between 25 Dec until late January 2013

Due to popular demand we are excited to announce some new screenprinting workshops for 2013. Students will have the opportunity to join us in our print room and generate their own artwork designs that will then be handprinted onto art paper. There are two workshop formats - both just as exciting as the other: * MAKE YOUR OWN STATIONERY + MINI ARTWORKS - Spend 2 days with Harvest to design, expose and screen print your own stationery/mini artworks on paper. * PRINT YOUR OWN DESIGNS ONTO PAPER - Redecorate your home with some of your own beautiful hand pulled prints. Join Harvest Textiles for two days and design, expose and screen print your own original artwork on paper. We have also listed another new fabric workshop format - Screen Printing Super School - that gives students 5 full days of screen printing including creating multi-colour placement prints, making hand drawn repeat patterns, creating registered placement prints and exposing your own artwork onto screen.

Be sure to mark December 18th in your diary as a day to avoid last minute xmas shopping mall madness by heading to the Harvest Xmas Market. There will also be a Harvest Workroom ex-student's stall, a kid's craft stall, gift wrapping and craft activities plus yummy food will be brought to you by the infamous Taco Truck and local staple Each Peach. Judging by the success of last year's xmas market this is definitely an event not to be missed...so we hope to see you down there. Harvest Workroom, 512 Lygon Street, East Brunswick 10am - 5pm December 18th. Keep an eye on our blog over the coming weeks to see interviews with some of the makers who will be featuring at the market and view the stall holder profiles here.

We have been having a great time as guest bloggers over at The Design Files. Lucy Feagins (pictured left) is the mistressmind behind this fabulous blog that keeps us in the loop with all design related amazingness around Melbourne and beyond and was kind enough to invite us to have our say for a week. We chose to feature the marvellous designers (Liz Jones, Maryann Talia Pau, Nikki Gabriel, Greg Hatton & Leila Sanderson) who will host workshops at our up coming event makeUp to be held at Harvest Workroom. Thanks Lucy for the chance to appear on your fantastic design forum. We have really enjoyed ourselves. |
